In 2009, we began educating the market on a burgeoning new role: the Private Equity Technology Partner. Anticipating a strong need in the PE world for technology leadership at both the firm and portfolio company levels, we started building networks of leaders who fit the profile we developed: value creation technology leaders with an EBITDA focus, bias for action, the ability to mentor CEOs and their tech leaders, while also able to tackle the most challenging carve-out issues. Today, as the PE market recognizes the impact of transformational technology on valuations, Heller's PE practice is our most dynamic.
